You can find free fonts online if you look. Even the Microsoft site lets you download free truetype fonts. There's lots out there. I suggest you look at www.dafont.com (external link).

If you don't like Auto ISO... manually set it. If the 50mm doesn't focus well in low light, use the AF-assist beam on the flash but set it in camera so that the flash does not go off. You get the benefit of the beam without the flash light.

I told Christina and Michelle Boston Common

We'll keep it there, then. Water Fountain.

Brendan - Do you need help? I can volunteer to carry stuff, especially if you park elsewhere.

I think fort point and seaport area would be good. Commons will be just the same all over. Trees, grass and that is it - not to mention lots of people that would be in the area.

With the seaport area we have ocean/water backdrops, or we can use the greenway in town, meet up at south station and get a bite to eat/or drink.

Yeah perhaps south station is easier? I can park at the commons but if I do that and we walk to south station it's kind of a waste.. What do you guys think? I can do either. Nate ill take you up on that hand at some point...

I work close to DTX, Michelle is across the street from me. Christina will be coming from Lowell. SS is fine, I just have to let them know.

i like auto iso...but the problem is with an external flash on a canon t3i (or even a 7d for that matter), it sticks in iso 400. sometimes that's just not enough, especially on a t3i in a really dark room with a 430exii.

assist beam only works in one shot AF. doesn't work in AI servo, which i like to use AI servo for fast paced stuff like weddings. any input on that? how do you guys focus when shooting a wedding?

when the bride is walking, AI Servo.
Everything else - one shot.

I tried ocf (captured in moments') recommendation at the wedding at Gibbet Hill. I was so much happier with those results. Getting some more stands and lighting soon thanks to that.

I still say, if you don't like that auto ISO stays at 400... then manually set it. It takes 1 second to change.

I'm with Andrew. I've only shot a few weddings as second... but I'm usually on one shot AF. I only use AI Servo when people are coming down the aisle.

I'm going to skip bringing the reflector, at 5:30pm on that side of downtown, we'll barely see any direct sunlight. I will bring the lights though.

So what's the final plan?
