Thanks everyone who posted.

BobsYourUncle: Wow! I wouldn't want to have to go in there looking for something. Just thinking about sorting all that stuff out would give me a headache.

northants nin: I sort of know the feeling of rolling over, having recently fallen of a mountain bike while speeding down a trail. The chaos is sudden and quick but the damage lasts!

marie: ah traffic, the story of my life, working in downtown LA but living 25 miles away. the elevated car makes the scene look even more chaotic

spoco57: looks like there can be beauty in chaos. I like how the people lined up on the ride give an idea of the scale of the cascading water. great shot of an awesome scene

OhLook: nice image of a slow descent into chaos, but with a method to the madness. the sage green fence makes a nice background for the leaves and creeping vines.

Winners:

1. BobsYourUncle
2. Spco57
3. OhLook

Thank you Rich for the #1 nod this week!

When you posted the theme, the very first thing that came to mind was my garage. I grabbed the G1X and ran down to take a few shots.

Believe it or not, I know where everything is! Years of not taking the time to purge old useless stuff has brought it to its current look - chaos!

I'll get a new theme up ASAP - stay tuned...

Rich, thanks for awarding me third place. I definitely agree with your choices for #1 and #3.

The green and black structure isn't a fence; it's part of one wall of our garage. Proof that the outsides of garages can be chaotic, too.

Congratulations BobsYourUncle, Spoco57 and OhLook.

I enjoyed the chaos created by vehicles and extreme drivers. Enjoyed even more that sort of ordered chaos in Nature. Plants and water represent it well.

Certainly the created chaos in a warehouse / garage / drawer is intimidating, I know about it with a large amount of small parts of electronic equipment in boxes or shelves. I know what I have stored but unfortunately, unlike Bob, I do not remember where the specific part I need is hidden.

Nice challenge Rich Road!

When I saw BobsYourUncle's entry, I thought "first shot's a winner"! Congrats, there's humor, and there's truth (that some other similarly arranged garage owners such as perhaps me, don't want to admit).... chaos.

Congrats to Ohlook and all the other great entries too! Thanks for the work it takes to host and judge.

Dennis:

LOL!

It's a work in progress. I used to have my office in there but tore it out a few weeks ago. I have a lot of shelving around the walls and I am doing a major purge. I have already taken a few loads to the dump and given away stuff on Craigslist.

The goal is to park my old Cutlass in there one day!

Sorry I missed out this past week; just got back in town & hope to stay put for a few weeks before jetting off to Paris in October. It has been a whirlwind of a summer for me.

Congrats to the winners!!!

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.
