That's a darn good idea...That was the Canon Pro 100 printer yea? They had a rebate on that printer of $399 final cost was $99.00 still not a bad deal I just don't like the whole gift card thing.

I was worried of not getting my $400 rebate but it arrived in less than a month. I did go thru a Canon web pre-rebate registration so that may have speeded up everything.

Yesterday I used up the pre-paid Amex $400 card at my local Microcenter computer store for an iPad mini.... So, overall a pretty good deal.

I just sold mine, but only because I had an emergency and needed the funds. I will get another copy as soon as I can...

Not to hijack the thread, but I got in on the Pro-100+50 sheets of A3+ semi-gloss paper for $89 after the $300 rebate from B&H--great printer for sure, and the paper is nice for all-around use. The ink for this printer alone is about $120, so the purchase is a win from the time you get your rebate card.

It comes with full ink tanks as well, very impressive print quality from the Pro-100 IMO.

The iso 50 essentially gives you your 1/8000. If I'm shooting outdoors at 1.2 I use it, that's the only time I've run into it.
I've actually kept my 6d over upgrading to the 5diii because of the wi-fi. When traveling with camera and iPad, it is priceless.

I would pick the 5DMII every time. I said the 1/4000 max of the 6D was a deal breaker for me in another thread and I meant it. I don't care for the layout of the back of the camera either.

Example of 1/8000 shot? When shooting football at middle of day with f2.8 I was at 1/3200 so I can imagine needing 1/8000 using f1.4 but light was crap at that time IMHO.

Sorry, haven't used it yet. I just junked my old Epson 780 to make space in my 1000 sq ft home. I think this Canon printer is about to take up 10sq. ft. since its so gargantuan!!!

6D - entry level FF vs, well, a 5d FF

You made a good choice! ENJOY!

I don't understand why you can't used a ND filter ( or a CPL) with 6D, that way you can easily get around the limit of 1/4000. And you have better PQ, one stop better high ISO performance than 5D II and other good features.

I guess everyone is different then.

I was graciously gifted a 6D yesterday and seeing this thread made me wonder if I went down the wrong path! Glad to see positive talk. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

I'm considering of selling my 6d camera and kit lens for the 5d3. How much do you reckon I should get for it? (5 months Australian warranty left).

I love my 6D! Don't listen to the nay sayers. Then again, don't listen to me either. Go use the camera and decide for yourself. It's the only way to know if you'll love it or loath it.

I would love to have the 5D3 AF system and it's dust proof viewfinder (6D's removable focus screen tends to allow in a little bit of dust, this is the only issue I have with the camera). However it would involve a camera that is 200 grams heavier, the weight difference is a big deal. Put it this way 200 grams is more than a 40mm 2.8 lens weighs, you can have a fully usable camera with lens for less than the weight of a 5D3.
And the 5D3 lacks as good high ISO performance, the 6D's sensor is a good half stop better. Plus the lack of wifi, which is a very handy feature for liveview control via iPad.
The 6D has Canon's second best sensor after the 1DX, and there is an argument to keeping it verses the 5D3, let alone the 5D2.

I read that here and there but never noticed that in real life. I hardly see any difference in high ISO performance between the two bodies.
