Beautiful one. The village down is sharper than some of your Milky Way pics, you have an amazing spot over there.

Thanks. I have better managed the focus, this spot is perfect for the Milky Way, I'll return a moonless night.

The conditions weren't particularly challenging, but for a rudimentary AF system, I'm rather impressed. Certainly no worse than my old Rebel and therefore for my needs completely sufficient.

A few days later, I found that the center point count also focus on any of the stars in the Big Dipper (with the 24-105 fully at telephoto) in a cloudless sky. No other cameras out that night could focus on the stars. :)

Perhaps not the right place to post this, but I am looking for a way to get shutter count on a 6d. It looks like EOScount.com doesn't support the 6d.

Can I clean the focusing screen of dust

Think I got a bit too aggressive with the Giottos bulb blower there is just a bit of dust on the focusing screen now (6d). Can I blow the inside of the screen and the bottom of the prism if I buy a replacement screen (mat) with the Canon screen removal tool, or should I just live with it?

I *was* thinking about getting a lighter lens, NO WAY. It's too good to get rid of it. Paired with the 6D is NOM NOMS.

Did you take that picture with your 6D? Looks a little grainy. :p

Congratulations Alex! Post that over in the 60D BS'ers thread. We miss you over there.
