Great pictures everyone, I am planning on buying the 1Dx when I get to the States in March to have along side of my 5D III, just need to ask a question, Is the 1Dx the same size as the 5D III with the battery grip?

Have held both and IMO 5DIII with grip feel just a tack heavier. I didn't put them on weight scale so I cannot be 100%. Just my feel and 2c

quick question - What wireless shutter releases work with this camera (specific models and links)? I do not have one but would like to help someone out that does.

Thanks
Mike

Quick and easy radio would be the YongNuo RF-603 C3. Also acts as a non-ttl flash remote trigger. Good value. You can also get a 2nd cable for $2 so you can use it on crop cameras (that have a headphone looking plug).

There are lots of options. The only one I'd recommend staying far away from is any remote that looks like this one (external link). I had one of those, and out of the box it barely worked. A year later, it does nothing.

Great thanks looks like the 1Dx is just a little smaller but about the same which is nice, I just thought the 1Dx would be a monster next to the 5D III which I didn't want;)

They're similar in overall volume, the battery grip on the 5D3 is much better than previous grips for other Canons.
Also check the serial # off the box of the 1Dx to make sure it's not from the batch that had a service advisory recall.

That image is a little misleading side-by-side. If you cut out a vertical part of the 5d3 and paste it over the 1DX, it is actually shorter (though it looks taller). If you do the same for the width, you'll see It's also quite a bit narrower than the 1DX. They do appear to be fairly similar in size though.

Dimension specs also have the 5D3 at 3" deep and the 1DX 10% bigger at 3.3"

Still really want one.

Scott Kelby from KelbyTraining.com has just started using two 1DX's for Football. He tells lots of details on Facebook, and on his blog if anyone is interested. He has already posted some amazing shots. Scott normally shoots with Nikon gear, and he seems very impressed with the Canon line-up!
Here's his latest blog entry...
