The 5dc was my original plan. For the wedding I went to on Sat. the photog used a 6d with a 5d as her back up. Since I'm not dumping my 60d, I'll just keep my eye out for a deal/steal. ;)

Sorry for the late reply, I worked 12 hrs last night so I went home and crashed! I wanted to tell you around my area people are selling the 5Dc for $500 and less! I picked up a minty condition low shutter count one for $475!!

NewCreation wrote in post #16243503 (external link)
I saw that. I don't know what the mirror fix either, but I see a lot that have been fixed. hmmm....

MIrror fix is supposedly where the mirror falls off in the camera body (was Canon's fault that's why they fix it for free). They pretty much re-attach it using some awesome adhesive.

Facebook introducing "Shared Photo Albums"...

I don't fully understand it but if I'm correct - no photographer would wish to participate...

http://connect.dpreview.com …duces-shared-photo-albums (external link)

I once uploaded a gallery of my graphic design work on there. Later found an ad with a shirt using one of my works for sale. It's been 3 years since I closed my account there, it's going to be a VERY cold day before they get their thieving paws.on anything of mine again.

yeah....

but some good news - the top dial now rotates 360 degrees and no longer has the movie mode on it!

(I really wanted to smack someone for putting the 60D movie mode as the last station on the dial and not making it 360 degrees... I mean wtf... purposely crippling a feature)

anyways - it now has a movie button like the 7D...

Yep... I am a total nerd and downloaded the manual the day Canon posted it.

The dial to get to movie mode on the 60D was a stupid decision, although somewhat correctly Canon reasoned that most people wouldn't use the 60D for video due to the lack of full time AF. I barely ever use it for video, preferring my S100 or even my ancient Sony camcorder.

Hating?! its showing how well the T1i sensor has stood up to newer sensors!

but seriously, no offence meant - my point is that posting stills of a new body is (almost) silly as a means of determining image quality... the image quality has more to do with the photographers know-how and the lens used vs the body, IMO.

(I came so close to saying 'XSi' instead of T1i... xsi was my first body - yet there would still be no intention of 'hate'n' users)

do you guys know of any good glue to secure my hand grip for my 60d? It is peeling (took it to vegas and it got very hot, and I read this is common), I tried shoegoo which works for everything but it didn't stick to the grip at all but stuck to the body.
