The southern area was really active two years ago, so you're probably right!

Rhino, hippo and lion were very common, finally seen a leopard. Elephant, zebra and giraffe were abundant. Lots of apes.

Early mornings and late evenings for shoots, and then still to do dinner.

Miss it, actually.

Looking forward to the pictures.

I'm sure they're shooting away. I was lucky enough to take two trips (one week each) to Timbavati this year. On the first I added a quick 4 days at Chobe to check out next year's trip and on the second I added 4 days in Cape Town area. Each Timbavati trip consumed about 3,500 images and Chobe contributed another 2,000. While Cape Town was great, it was a much smaller shoot (about 500 images). Here's a link to some of my 2013 images (external link). I hope this inspires a few more folks to want to do Africa. Amazing place that gets in your blood.

Hi guys. I'm currently sat in the Virgin Atlantic lounge having a coffee waiting for the flight home. We've all had a simply amazing time here! Sorry for no updates, there's been no wifi access in the park and very little cell coverage.

Expect the photo flood tomorrow!

And when there was the charge for (some of us) where extremely expensive so posting photos would have cost the same as the trip itself.

And yes you can all expect to see some exciting photos.

Finally back after 24 hour trip. Totally exhausted and dehydrated despite bucket load of water and juices. Sleep required! First quick look at images says some beauties to come!

Pictures of Tar roads don't count. Show me more wildlife and landscapes! Glad everyone is home safely.

Many of the roads around were bone-shakers like this.

A couple of male lions for you here, who were shadowing a pride of females (I suspect these are brothers/sons of the pride). I only had my Fuji X100S on me for the trip (spent all of my time driving and supporting Tommy)

A couple of the gate guards

The guy on the left took the group shot (did a great job) and was pretty surprised and embarrassed that I wanted to take a photo of him. I roped in the other guy as he was laughing at the first guy getting shy over his photo.
