I wanna work where your wife works. I don't even care if she's a stripper.

Nice, fat life insurance policy? :p

Do you think that helps? Nah... Well... Is that why she suggested I ride it without a helmet?

My wife has been unemployed for two years. She told me she bought it now because we have time to ride. If we wait until we have the money, we'll be too old to ride. Makes sense to me.

You know, she's right. Go out and enjoy it! I'll be looking for pics of you and your wife on the bike.

Congrats!
I think you're going to have a hard time finding a camera bag for that thing.

Should've asked for a 1Dx and an 800mm and she would've come home with a brand new Corvette! ;)

That is why I am single. I buy what I want to buy, nobody is telling me how to spend my hard earned cash.

Someone sounds quite bitter. The OP didn't "tell" his wife to buy him anything. She "asked" him what he wanted as a retirement present. He suggested an expensive camera setup, and she brought home so much more. I think this is called giving out of love.

Yeah I'm a confirmed bachelor and even I see this as an act of love (blech ;)). This is not ball 'n' chain stuff.

That is actually a really sad statement. If you are that 'connected' to money, rest assured, you will always be single.

I wouldn't trade my wife, or my life with her for any amount of anything. True happiness resides in having someone to share your life with you. All of it. Yes, even the money.
