I can't decide what I think of this one. Are the people too dark?

I don't think so.
I like them near the edge of the frame, but maybe crop them so they're at the top or bottom 1/3 perhaps.

If you had not mentioned that was a couple it would be a little hard to tell what that is.

They're so insignificant in the frame.

I think that was what he was going for.

The only reason they're not showing up clearer in the photo is because of the tree line in the background that intersects with the couple.

To me this looks like more of a scenic/landscape shot and the couple seems to be part of the "background". Does not come off as the subject of the photo to me. The landscape dominates the scene.

Too bad you could not have gotten a longer exposure and moved you position so the couple was not in the tree line. Could be an interesting photo

Little dark, need a bit of separation to tell its two people and what sex they are and cropped a bit close to the edge for me. Not bad overall, just nitpicks, nice idea
