This lens is incredible. How is it on a T3i?
The T3i has the same sensor and processor as the 7D. And on m 7D, this lens works like magic! Sharp wide open, no front or back focus for me... This is my walkaround lens.

BigLobowski Goldmember More info | ...^^^great cream tone look to your conversion Adam - and suits the shot very well...great look...one thing I struggle a bit with in LR is achieving the stark, crisp true tones of B&W...I'll often use one of my presets I loaded a while back that have tags such as "Dynamic Silver" or Ansel's Easel" to get the tones I want, then adjust contrast etc. from there...really want to try out the NIK software such as the Silver FX as it looks to produce some great tones...sorry if I just went off track there - your image really looks awesome - more important question would be, how do YOU like it?... - Ken

idsurfer Cream of the Crop More info | Aug 31, 2013 19:43 | #4119 adamg5 wrote in post #16257136 Thanks I played with the color sliders under the black and white mix, in LR4 a bunch until I felt it looked ok. I then added a little contrast. Thanks Big for the feedback I to want to try the NIK software someday. I see some really nice b&w images on here from POTN members who use it.I do like my image, but sometimes I like one of my images and then a couple days later I'm like "how the heck did I think that looked any good?" ![]() I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I'll work on a set during the evening, post to flikr and subsequently splatter all over POTN, only to wake up the next day and realize the whole set is too cool or warm or the WB is totally off. I think when I look at something for too long I loose my unbiased vision, if that makes sense. I probably should just put it away for the night and come back the next day with fresh eyes. B&W or cream tones are tough. I don't go there too much. I am with you guys that I would love to try the Nix stuff. I think it was on sale for a very reasonable price a while back. BTW, I like you conversion Adam. I think the scene suits it well. Cory

Aug 31, 2013 20:39 | #4120 Just strolling through, and coincidentally I had just looked at this, "Get the full Nik Collection by Google, now just $149." Google bought them a while back and, as far as I can tell, only sells the product as a package with the price remaining consistent at $149 every time I look at it. I'll end up buying it soon.
