I would probably pick one up for this price if I have not owned Sigma 35mm 1.4

B&H has this price too.

According to cpw this is a permanent price drop, along with 4 other lenses.

It's about time they drop the price on those lenses. These are excellent lenses but overpriced from the start.

So it was $799 and now they are $599 not bad a $200 dollar price drop. Still don't know if I would buy this lens.

If IS is a must then its worth the tag, otherwise IMO, I wouldn't pay more than $500.00 for this lens considering Sigma's Art lens 35 1.4 can now be had for $700+

Where can the Sigma be had for $700? It's $900 new and deals have only ever been $800 AFAIK

Not many user images out there for this lens. The Sigma seems to be waaay more popular. Maybe now with the price drop we'll start seeing more images, just like with the EOS-M.

I think a big reason for that is that people are really reluctant to pay nearly $800 for a non-L lens. Can't say i blame them... the IQ on this lens is awesome and the IS is a great addition, but 775-800 is pricey. I'm really glad to see these IS primes drop to 600 or less.
