this is the first time i saw these guys, and they're quite small compared to a Great Blue. i was out very early so the low sun affected the colours a bit:

Beautiful captures! The last one is my favorite, love the side profile and awesome detail. I've found Green Heron coloration to very quite a bit between birds, seasons and locations.

Great shots! They are uncommon here, though I actually saw one fly by this spring at a high rate of speed, never to return. Well done.

Congratulations on your first captures. For such a small bird they sure have a big attitude. :D

Congrats on your first sighting; great job capturing it! The best part is that these guys like to frequent certain hunting areas; so, there's a very good chance you'll find it there again in the future.
