This is not only possible, but much more of a workout than with a thicker piece of rope. Not only are you working on the "normal pulling muscles" (back, biceps, shoulders) you are also doing wonders for your grip strength, which is extremely helpful in weight training. WEBSITE

I'm guessing lack of knowledge steered Pjay's post in the wrong direction. If this is you in the picture, keep up the good work byrdanthony! THANK YOU! I really appreciate it. I do use a smaller rope because it is harder and I love a challenge. Yes it kills my hands, hence the gloves but it's worth it in the end. It is me in the picture as well, thanks again!

There was no indication of a self portrait, and the image did initially look staged (not an unusual event on any photography forum). My youngest brother does all sorts of weird stuff with strongman events, involving tractor tyres and big balls of concrete, so I shouldn't be so incredulous! Your Flickr photostream was well worth a look too... It's okay PJay, it's hard to tell it's in motion because of a still. But trust me I was pulling it. Very heavy. MDJAK wrote in post #16265547 ![]() that's awesome, dude. Thanks man!
