My wife is paranoid she will break something. She knows she's getting my T3i as soon as I upgrade but refuses to touch it right now

You just need to get into someone else's photos. A photographer friend is very grateful when I take photos of him with his daughter.

But when the mood strikes to have shot of me & the wife, or the whole clan, in front of ______ for the family album, it's nice to have a remote trigger. I hate timers.

I used to avoid being in pictures...no matter where I was. I have lost 83 pounds and find myself a lot more willing to have my picture taken. Got some of me and my husband in yellowstone and grand teton this year.

The only time I am in pictures is when I take pictures of the whole family. One thing I noticed about myself was I always had the strangest expressions on my face. I finally realized I was holding the remote and counting so every picture had me with odd expressions when I would say 3 or smile or something else. Last time the family was together I let one of my girls operate the remote so someone else could have their mouth open but this time I forgot I had set the camera to back button focusing and every shot she took was out of focus. At least this time I had a smile on my face but a blurry one.

Blurry brain, blurry smile.

Canon has yet to make a wide enough wide angle lens for me.
