Nice photo.

The bigger question, however, may be, "why is he on the furniture"... :)

Yes you are right! I did manage to stop him for a while but he found it just too comfy :)

Thanks Keyan - but no-one has to add it in text (I know I do), but if the exif is in the image, it's doesn't need to be added in text if the poster doesn't want to. But if it is in the image, it can be easily checked with a mouse click to show what settings are used and what lens and camera, which can be very useful for learning or assessing an image. If it stripped out on the forum, some members might never learn.

Paul.

Ah, I see what you mean. Losing the EXIF is annoying.

So has anyone tried dual pixel AF with a non-Canon lens yet? Curious of it works. You also won't get any in camera lens corrections with a third party lens.

I accidentally got too excited when I saw tonight's sky and shot in JPG.... I know. I know.

But I'm slowly improving. Still had camera shake because it was on the deck, not concrete... But none the less, ISO-3200.

Digitalrev = good entertainment

the review are highly subjective, but did I mention good entertainment?

wow he's an 'in your face' street photographer...

unfortunately this review was a little more serious that I usually see

Nice pics.. do you mind sharing the raw for your sunset (4 & 5 ) ? I want to see how those shadows looks when lifted. I really have high hopes on the new sensor, to make me jump from the 60d...

Cheers.

Here's another macro shot, this time at 1600 ISO, which is a lot sharper than I expected. I've taken macros at this ISO on my 650D and they are much noisier.

Camera Canon EOS 70D
Exposure 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture f/11.0
Focal Length 100 mm
ISO Speed 1600
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash Off, Did not fire

OK, I have been shooting some stuff with my new 70D for a few days and now want to import my shots into Lr4 and the files are not recognized! I usually convert my Canon RAW files to DNG on import...

What do I need to do here to get my photos into Lightroom 4? I've only used Lr since Lr1 and am baffled at how to get my RAW files into Lr! Help Please!

It usually takes a bit for the programs to update to include RAW import of new camera files. When a body is brand new like the 70D it might be a week or so.

They import into LR5 ok and I haven't had any updates to that since well before the camera was released. I doubt it will be long before LR4 supports it though.

Thanks to this thread, my parents have up'd the ante! Just moments ago I handed over my summer savings and they took it from there! By that I mean, 16 Visa digits and pounding on the "Buy Now" button. Make no mistake, I would have been very pleased with the planned T5i/18-135mm/55-250mm combo that I spent all summer saving for. But I have a feeling that this camera teamed up with the 18-135mm IS STM and the EF 70-300mm IS USM will bring everything I had hoped to get from the T5i combo and so much more. Thanks for sharing your photos and comments on this camera so my folks could sit down and take it all in.

Now for the hard part,... waiting on the UPS man to ring my door bell!
