Wow!

I don't know how you guys get these pics. Are you guys all using trackers or am I just doing something way wrong?

No trackers :) just high ISO, wide lens and large aperture. 20-30 seconds will get results like this, if you get the focus bang on and are away from light pollution.

Here's a couple I took early this summer:

This one my wife was stepping on the brake pedal of the car, didn't notice until after I took the picture made for an interesting effect.

These are great, guys! Thanks for convincing me I'm really going to have to get something wider than my 24-105...now where's the smiley icon for the dollar signs with wings?... :)

First try out with the new Canon 70D... Surrounded by trees in camp, so nothing special with the composition. Used a lantern to light the trees.

I think it's absolutely great how taking a photo of the Milky Way with "nothing special with the composition" still makes for an awesome shot?! :)

I just spent the weekend skiing at Mt Ruapehu (Ohakune, New Zealand) and the skies were a lot darker down there.

I think the settings were ISO 12,800. 30 seconds @ F4 (have to check the original file:oops:)
