He told me he normally just uses the computer at your mom's house while he's there for his weekly visit.

Did you insult my mother? Thems fighting words.

Besides, I didn't know Chet was into necrophilia, but I'm not surprised.

There is absolutely no doubt that after one year the price doubles.

There is absolutely no doubt it doesn't.
I guess time will tell.

The only problem with what you've posted, is; It isn't from Adobe. It's from a third-party, so until it comes straight from the horse's mouth, anything can happen.

Sounds like the old days of cable TV. :-|

If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?

you still loose everything once you stop your subscription, so you're signing up for life. Stop paying, your software stops working. And that's not ok with me. I'll stick with CS6 as long as I can. I use PS so little nowadays, I'll probably be good for a long time. And by then, they'll either have smartened up or something else will have filled the gap. I'm not worried.

40D, 5D3, a bunch of lenses and other things

$120 a year is reasonable. Too bad it's not this price for new subscribers that don't already own the software.

Still wouldn't put it past them to raise the price, probably in some really tiny print or their own digression

anyone know what It would cost to just buy a copy of cs3? there has to be someone out there with some forsale. If they were really gunna leave the 9.95 forever (or even for 5 years or something), it would be worth it to me.

OK, lame attempt at humor. Please forgive me.

This is still ridiculous. They're just trying to cover their backsides with the stupid subscription plan. I guess my previous versions of Adobe are the last for me.

For those users like myself who aren't opposed in principle to subscription based software, and who tend to upgrade within a few weeks of new major versions being released, I don't see why this is "still ridiculous" --- the monthly cost for purchasing just Lightroom outright was more than $5 (assuming the user upgraded promptly when a new major version came out). And here $10/month gets the user full access to the current versions of both PS and LR with features they (presumably) want that previous versions of PS and LR don't offer.

Funny, happens about the same time that Corel releases the 64bit paintshop pro X6.
