Wow, so many great shots in this thread, many of which inspired me to go pick up a 5D. It has not disappointed. A couple of the first shots with mine:

I recently bought a 1DS MIII to replace my two 5D bodies. I want the 1DS body primarily for the live view and micro adjustment features so when I use the 85L/50L lens wide open I have a better chance of nailing focus.

After going through this thread again though I may pull one back and sell some other gear to help pay for the purchase. Still hard to believe that the original 5D is so simple, yet produces such stunning images. Great photos everyone.

Oh man I'm in such a dilemma right now. I can't decide whether to upgrade to a 5D2, 6D or get a 24-70 lens of some sort (Canon or Tamron). I love the 5Dc but would love to have a body that has video so I don't have to lug around 2 bodies or make a choice on what body to bring if I'm just doing stuff with my family. I have a 60D but love the quality of the files from the 5Dc but it's lack of video is tough. On the other hand I'd like to replace my Tamron 28-75 mainly because of how slow it focuses.

Arrgh!

I went through the same dilemma as you about upgrading either the lens or body first. I went with the body for the overall needs. It sounds as though the 5d mii is the best choice for you.
