Good morning fellow studio photographers,
I have a perplexing problem that all of my research on the web has been unable to solve:
How to best mount a Westcott 7' PCB PLM onto an Elinchrom 600RX - the shaft of the umbrella doesn't fit through the 7mm centred tube of the strobe, which is obvious because of their proprietary system.
When mounting the strobe onto a umbrella flash adapter with the 7' Westcott attached the strobe sits quite high and thus the light becomes quite out of focus.
I'm ready to throw in the towel, sell this, and pony up for a Rime Lite Grand Softbox instead. If anybody has any other workarounds that they can think of before I blow 500 bucks then please speak now or forever hold your peace.
(and yes, I've tried the second umbrella holder system and the Westcott is far too much weight for it to be supported)
