Howdy GEWB,

I love the sky and the jack rail fence. Not a fan of the distortion however. Did you try running the final shot through a lens correction to see if that might help?

Not trying to nitpick your shot, personally, I would try at something like 24-50mm to try and get a more natural foreground.

Still a nice shot though!

Howdy -

Thanks for your comments. Haven't tried correction yet.

First try at pano with this lens. I'll try it at 24mm later in September (too many people yesterday - difficult to get a decent shot).

I shot a pano at the same spot about 5 yrs ago (using a different camera and lens) which turned out much better.

Regards,
GEWB

I normally shoot all my panoramas between 30-70mm just depending on the scene.

The wide angle lenses tend to cause a bit of distortion. I've never tried it personally, but next time if you're shooting wide angle with your 10-24, maybe try doing lens correction on each shot first before you do the pano stitch. Just a thought.

It's a lovely area though. Look forward to seeing more.

Next time, just yell out really loud, "HEY EVERYBODY, I'M A PHOTOGRAPHER, KINDLY MOVE OUT OF MY SHOT!" ;)

I'm kind of new at this...5 shots merged in CS6. I adjusted the exposure slightly in the foreground. This was taken in the Nebraska sandhills.

Here's one from Sedona. I shot this during mid-day, so the light was too harsh for my liking, but I did what I could in post.

Shot with a 5D classic, 50mm 1.4 in portrait mode. Probably 6-8 images for the stitch.

That is one of the jewels in our park system! Later this month the elk will be in the rut and RMNP will again be packed with people.

I thought about yelling out (as you suggested) but I would have to do it in at least five different languages! RMNP had many visitors from all around the world - I guessed at Germany, Japan, India, several South American countries, Korea, England, and of course, TEXAS.

Best part of the day was seeing a nice golden eagle.

Regards,
GEWB

Here's one from last night. Snapped a couple of dozen pics, CS6 did all the blending and stuff.
