Just converted to B&W via IPhoto and replaced the blue sky background with one with clouds. Came out better than I thought, but vultures seem to show well in black and white.

I prefer the term "Bird of Recycling" :D

I like the shot, and agree that the clouds would look better than the blue sky. However, I don't think that these clouds go with it. They do not look realistic like the bird does. Plus you have some ghosting coming through the secondaries on the right wing that makes the cut and paste evident. Whenever I get this on my BG replaced images of birds, I use non-destructive Dodge and Burn to get it to look more realistic, but still make it appear like the bird has light coming through the wings.
