Hey guys, all nice images...if we look back and compare the images in the old thread you can easily see how all of you have improved in your craft...keep it up and enjoy the hobby...it has been raining here in the desert with flash floods so I have been staying indoor...and did several oil pieces, here is one: Amaryllis in a large canvas 4x5 ft (48x60 inches) this one took me 10 hours and needs a pair to hang in the foyer. The smaller study took me 2 hour and is 16x20 inches canvas

Ever since I got my 7D I haven't been given it a workout. Summer is also boring here. Since my Jeep had some mechanical troubles. I have been procrastinating to get it fixed (I think I need a new engine). That kind of made me homebound.
It's still summer but the leaves and turning brown now and Autumn may be ahead of schedule :(

I'm really interested in doing macro. That's probably more practical during the cold days.

Wonderful flower Tony! Very lifelike!

After not doing any sort of birding for almost half a year I finally had time yesterday to shoot. I would like to thank Neon for helping me find this bird.

Although it started raining at the exact moment I parked it gave me time enough to scout out the area and figure on how to do the shoot.

lol it's funny. I've had my 7D since May and I haven't used the factory battery yet. I've always used my battery grip and AA eneloop. I used to visit Phipho and PBPF before but not as often anymore.

Really? Same here! lol I haven't used much my 7D anymore, I used my 60D most of the time since it is lighter and personally, I liked the IQ of my 60D over the 7D.

Yeap same here, haven't been doing a lot of shooting lately.... I should get myself to shoot more street scenes, I am not comfortable shooting them as you probably know I'm more of a landscape, tourist spot kind of shooter hehe I guess I need to push myself.

Go out though it's good for you  Leaves here are still very green, probably gonna start changing by mid October.
