A reasonable effort but the lighting is a bit flat (and possibly about 1/3 stop overexposed), and there are barely catchlights in her eyes.

I agree with the exposure comment ...lighting looks OK to me. My issue is with the very bright over saturated background (or maybe just the colour)
I would have PPed it like this.....reduce exposure a bit, top crop, slight rotate and tried to play down the background.

was your focus on the right eye?

nice shot; agree with comment on back ground being bright; i have used various colored sheets (have someone hold them) for backgrounds.

Pretty young lady. I think you did a pretty good job with it. The light could be improved as mentioned, a bit more shadow on the face would be great.

Then I saw Spike's edit and it looks terrific.

Nice work, and welcome to the forums. You live in a great part of the country.....:D

Thanks for the help, yes I really like the edit Spike did....the skin tones are great. So I was shooting into the sun, all I had was a reflector. Is there a better way to capture dramatic lighting on her face? Are you looking to balance the light on her face and the light in the background?

Thanks again for the edit and the help!
