I'd never seen the milky way before so I have a few shots, getting more natural results from processing as I learn.

On a crop, it's~45mm. The other big thing would be video. There is a big market of dSLR film makers these days.

It's plenty sharp, especially in the centre. I only sold mine because I picked up a 35L

If shooting FF, the edges get soft but the center is good. It is not an L lens but is priced as such. Here is KR's review.
