one I shot in June that landed me a cover in a magazine. Was really surprised they bumped the other stuff for my rig shot. But is an awesome feeling to see the pics in print (just came out this week). I really need more practice with this thing because there are just some awesome pics and edits in here.

Steve is a good guy to work with, and he does like the rig shots. The Thunderbolt up top is mine.

That's awesome, and yes Steve was very good to work with. It was my first time working with him, and hopefully I can work with him on other projects.

I've been offered to buy a rig with a 4.5m boom, but I want to know if my 24mm is wide enough for full-car shots?

I've been looking around a lot, but either people don't include the lens information, and never how long the boom is. Plus, I'm on a 6D, so full-frame.. I've seen some people shoot with 17mm on a crop though..

Thoughts? I can't really afford both the rig and a new lens at the moment, but I reaaaally want the rig

24 on a full sensor wont be wide enought for full car pics with out it being way to close in frame

I will also depend on the how you mount the rig, 4.5 off the corenr will be ok. 4.5 across the foor and bonnet will mean the camera is closer to the car etc

A simple test for you would be measure 4.5 on your own car, taking into account position of the rig, then look at the picture from that spot with the 24mm

I haven't posted for the longest time, only used my rig like once this year. Here's one I did for the new IS for Lexus Canada during June, one of the press shot.
