My first whole house shot

please give CC guys

I really appreciate all comments!

Thanks

William

As always, i love your styling, the tones really give a special mood to the photo. I would only correct the verticals, the house seems to be falling a bit, and would change the left blue from the sky, it's too different from the rest, maybe painting it with pink (the same from the sky) and a soft brush, would make it look much more natural.

Quick question: what wireless remotes are you guys using? Had my second cheapo crap out on me today and having to replace them yearly is irritating.

Hi All, just looking for some more C&C if you have a moment.

Fortunate enough to be getting a few real estate gigs - I feel they are getting better and more consistent.

Fabulous shot! Did you just get lucky with the timing to have it devoid of people, or is this with a 10 stop filter or something like that?

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Hellooo thread :-)
I'm new to real estate/interior design/architectural photography but taking a very serious interest in it. For one thing it seems like it's not a completely saturated market in my parts. Strangely enough, a lot of realtors, even in the high end multi-million dollar luxury home market, still don't work with professional photographers (!). And it's also something that speaks to me artistically, especially the challenge of representing space and light in an aesthetically pleasing way.

Anyway, I'm in the process of building a portfolio, and I included a few images below, for which I would love some honest c&c. I'm still basically just asking friends to photograph the nicer rooms in their homes, but I'm getting close to the end of that avenue.

I guess a question I would have for working real estate photographers is: did you wait till you had a very impressive portfolio to network and market your work with realtors and agencies, or did you dive right in once you were confident enough with your skills and built your portfolio through assignments?

Thanks all. I'll be hanging around here now I guess :-)

I find no fault in your comps or process. Great images. Need to add some outside, bedrooms etc shots for portfolio and roll with it. I would keep your port. at a 10 shot max.

Go fot it, your pics are better than "good enough", don't wait anymore, network as much as you can, your photos will evolve with your new clients.

Thanks for the nice words, hope to be helping, and I'm really happy to see how you evolved since your first photo in this thread, I'm guessing this thread is bringing a lot to everyone.
