Great work guys,

I was wondering If a planes distance goes over what Is possible to capture even with 400/500mm APO primes, say picking out a pin prick plane with trail at 15-30 miles away and flying at 33,000 feet then blowing up like some post on here.

I wonder what kind of distance - camera to subject, are some of the airways pictures like the one above and other similar ones?, are they photographed less than 20.000feet above etc, also what kind of cropping in PP Is being used? as I guess even using a 600mm (35mm) would need alot of cropping of a plane shot at 6mile up and say 10 miles away, would this only become possible If using a 12-16mp body with a 600mm + 2 x convertor, on a tripod held down with sand bags on an r/c remote......:(
