Great shot of the hobby. I'm now sporting a badly sprained ankle, went to Scotland to photograph a train and then fell down the mountainside, resulting in a visit to A&E at Fort William so aborted the rest of the trip, 1250 miles for a train photo, I must be mad!

Sorry to hear about your fall Ken, at least it was no worse.

Some wonderful shots here with the puffins and the Hobby is very well caught, they are so fast.

These were up around the bridge at the start of the reed bed walk, saw about 4 to 5 of them over a period. The only problem were the light levels and sometimes the clutter from the reeds.

I meant to say also, one was so close I had to switch to the 100mm macro! ;)

Anyone belong to the Winchester Camera Club?

Thinking of joining one and would like recommendations.

I love those vole shots Lester.

We've just bought a compound microscope, so I'll be investigating taking pictures through that over these next few days. My first experiments look promising. Expect pictures of tiny stuff soon!

Yes it was fortunate, I could have ended up with a broken leg and stuck there with no one around. The swelling is going down a bit now. I'm currently hunting for a replacement bootlid for the car.

Cracking shots of the water vole, I've not seen them when I've been to Arundel. Superb field shot as well.

Have booked to take the steam train from Salisbury station down to Kingswear tomorrow. Sadly its not photogenic inside, at least I've yet to figure out how to do it! We leave at about 1020.
