yea that's why you have backup's, delete all that's there and then restore from backup. it's a forum so the data isn't that important.

Actually you only need to extract the index.php page from the backup and upload that everything else will be okay.

These idiots use a simple script to compromise servers running an older version of PHP which hasnt been patched. It shows up the server supply company since they havnt kepth the server patched with the latest updates.

Our school wordpress got done a few weeks back, along with a whole lot of others that were been hosted.
Different group but same result.

Its actually the second time the site has been hacked, but it got cleaned up quickly last time but obviously not patched.

My hosting supplier has a very regular patching cycle and while it is a PITA because the patching often breaks my code (depreciated php commands that I have to rewrite to accommodate) it is better to have to do a bit of recoding than to have the world see you havnt protected your site.

Classic ... few good points. Reality is govt don't change where they make money.

All I can do is pay the fine. Now I could have argued that the guy who was in the right lane keeping up with guy in left lane was blocking traffic
rules state keep to left unless passing. He did pull over about 1 min before cop stopped me. Did he have radar detector?
Even my wife commented how uncanny it was.

Kiwichris I did turn down a 2000 Holden Statesman from my folks.

I recently sold the Commodore and got a 1600 Imprza, much cheaper to run :)

I don't think so Mark, I would imagine that it's fairly opportunist.

The management of the site were running a fairly old version, a couple behind this.

As long as you don't use the same password for Hellophoto as elsewhere, should not cause you any issues.

Just watching (trying to watch) the livestream of the ITU in London.

Eldest sister in the 60+ age group on the Olympic Distance Age Group World Champs.

Doing pretty well, picking up the pace on the bike section.

I think the odds are rather slim. More than likely they just go after week sites and remind the admins to keep everything up to date.

I don't think I ever spent any serious time. had a look a couple of times but didn't ever create an account.

it didn't feel like a warm friendly place when I did. I'm sure it had some nice people there, but I had a look around and didn't see anything of value or different from anywhere else.

I haven't been there for a while, my "dick-head" alarm kept on going off & thought I would be better to keep brain engaged & mouth shut

Whatever! LOL

On my way back, boring skies so didn't shoot much. I'll put some recent stuff up when I get home.

No idea what's happened to Hellophoto, not been on for months (I sold it a couple of years ago).

Thanks for the heads up Tony. You guys can come and stay anytime you like down here. Off to Macau this weekend for a weeks "conference" ;-)a
