Thanks banksy87.
Every thing about this rally is perfect, couldn't ask for a better place to hold the event. Stages are super close to the CBD and easy to access to the stages via fire trails etc.

When I finally get round to traveling Europe Im going to plan it around WRC rounds.

No - it would be perfect if it were still in Perth ! (sorry, most of the WA rally community, including myself are still a bit bitter about having lost the event)
That said, I do plan on getting there at least once.

Some nice photos there, I really like Novikov in #2 and the Mini and the last one of the Impreza.

I don't suppose you got any of the ARC cars ? (specifically Tom Wilde)

haha!
Yeh I've realised, everyone from over there are whinging about about it.
Heard that they are thinking about every year instead of every second. Which would be awesome!!

Thanks!
I'll have to check, I didn't take to many shots of ARC etc, I'll have a look later, as I may have a shot or two.

I have a few more WRC in my set in Flickr: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjJfdxuo (external link)

Rally NZ has given back their date for next year, so Oz may get it for the next few years.

I'll be posting my pics up soon.

Btw, brindog, I'm guessing you were media or an official?

It wasn't lost so much as given away.

Yep, WA government didn't want it, and surprisingly now want it back now.

Hope we get it every year. But then again I wouldn't mind going to the NZ round for something different and a new adventure.

Nah either, just a very keen rally fan who did my study on link roads and stage routes, and camped out in the bush for the 4 days. :D Also helped that I've attend other rally events at Coffs and know the area from past 4wd trips. ;)

Looking forward to seeing your pic's!!

I know.

how long did the red bull air race last - three years ?

I helped out with Rally Australia, (results centre) for 12 of the 19 years it was here (I went to every one though) and my car now wears "WRC" rego plates too
Mum helped with all 19.

Shipmans is a great stage. Loved it in 2011 and last years ARC round.

awesome, we ended up being on SOS Alpha points for the 3 days.

Newry - awesome uphill cut backs, then over crest on corner down to a jump 50metres later.

Nambucca - 5th-6th gear straight to super fast right hander up hill, to a tightning left.

Shipmans - right hander on tarmac onto dirt, 500metres after water splash
