Stabilizer

Guys, I'm going to start filming soon with local videographers.

Can you suggest an average or good stabilizer you can recommend that won't cost my kidneys?

A bit of a vague request - do you mean Steadicam or just any stabilizer? A tripod is a great…starting stabilizer and it's versatile.

Something like steadycam to be used while moving or walking.

Good stabilizers are expensive such as the Merlin, but luckily it just went on sale!

Cheaper options hold less weight, have less adjustability, and will generally be harder to use. There are a few here:

There is a large learning curve with the any stabilizer and it will take hours to get the smooth results you normally see. Plus you cant use zoom lenses or any gear were the weight changes.

I believe the Rhino Steady is pretty cheap and very effective according to Film Riot.

Camera Motion Research Blackbird Camera Stabilizer. I hear is pretty nice & easy to set up. Likely the one I'll get when I'm ready.
