hand held?

Yes.

Continental acquired United in 2010 or 2011 and formed United Continental Holdings. The combined AOC (under the name United Airlines) was awarded sometime in December of 2011 and thus the Continental name died.

The United Express / Continental Express / Continental Connection regionals are operated by other airlines, only United Express remains, but a few planes still have Conti titles.

Among those who operate under the United Express name are: GoJet, SkyWest, Mesa, Chautauqua, Expressjet (the result of combining Expressjet and ASA), Republic (who took over the DHC8 flights from Colgan, which is now part of Endeavor Air), Shuttle America, Colgan (not anymore), Gulfstream Airlines (not sure if they still do).

Here's another one

Nice pan on the Extra. Good colour scheme too. Here's a few from Saturday's Wings over Gatineau.
