What's everyone using? I'm looking to add eCommerce to my WP site and need some recommendations as to what to use.

I was using 'Fotomoto.com' for a while and I may switch back. Right now I'm using two plugins, 'WP Simple Paypal Shopping Cart' and 'PhotoPress - PayPal Shopping Cart'.

FotoMoto looks like a good choice! I'm going to have to look further into it!

If your talking about Fotomoto, there was a time when nobody was running things. A few months ago, BayPhoto bought Fotomoto and they're back in business again.

My problem is still this:

http://www.fotomoto.com/home/pricing (external link)

When I can make a one time purchase of Photocrati ($89) and be able to do the same thing. It comes out cheaper after just 4 months (Pro account, $25/mo; which has unlimited Collections). Not to mention the fees; 10% with the Pro account. I can use PayPal and only get hit with a 3% fee.

Additionally, in terms of web development, Fotomoto is just a e-commerce widget ... whereas Photocrati is the entire package (dedicated photography based themes + ecommerce).

I see.

For me, I'm happy with my free theme and I'm currently using two free plugins for the PayPal cart. Fotomoto is a good option for those that already have a site. The reason I decided not to go back to them right now is the fees.

I think we're in the same boat.

I'm happy with my current free theme as well, and I know that free plugins for PayPal exist.

The only reason that I've looked at Photocrati is that I think their themes are more well designed for photography purposes, whereas I'm just using a generic theme that I've tried to best fit to my site.

Check out www.photocrati.com (external link)

Not free, but it's a one time fee of $89 and it has a very easy to use theme.

I decided to go with WooCommerce. I've got it set up, but I'm having some problems with layout that I might need to pay a designer friend to go in and fix. Can't seem to solve it on my own.

Yep, webdesign can be a bit frustrating for sure. I designed my first one from scratch back in 2004. I updated it again around 2007, and converted it to a Wordpress site earlier this year.

Working with a wordpress dev to solve this issue; I can't find what's wrong in the code anywhere.

Check out ShootProof (http://www.shootproof.com/ (external link)). You can have a free account (limited number of images) or several layers of paid accounts. Mine is $40 per year. You can have orders fulfilled by one of their labs (Black River, ProDPI, or Bay Photo), self fulfill, offer digital downloads of various sizes, or just use the site as an online portfolio or photo sharing site. They take no commission. The only fees other than your subscription are credit card and lab fees.

It's a good service and a simple, clean interface. I recommend it. Feel free to visit mine: order.myrsphoto.com (external link). Hope that helps.
