Nice shots Andy from the airshow, on the prop stuff I would shoot at 1/250th - 1/320th though to give the props a bit of motion :)

I thought this as well. The helicopter shots (while very cool) look about like they're dropping out of the sky ;)

Lovely puppy shot Radders.

Thanks - I wish the actual wheels were black though - they look a little out of place in silver...

had a meeting in Brighton today (waiting to see if I have some more speeding points) and the office were my supplier is based has some cool graffiti - couldn't resist a quick snap on the way home...

I had my wheels shot blasted and re-powder coated a while back, only £60 a corner. Do it! :)

I'm looking into it, and have been given some quotes for painting them - that said I researched how much these wheels are as an optional extra so I'm now loathed to get rid of them...

Is that what I could do with my alloys? they are rather aherm wrecked from a lack of cleaning and perhaps a little hard usage

Some great shots from everyone over the last few days - love the graffiti shot with the mini Lee. Devils Dyke is great isn't it, we used to go there loads when I was little, just to watch the crazy people throw themselves off the side of the hillside!

Olive pic is very cute too :D

nice planes Andy :D

We're having a good time in Norfolk. Loads and loads of dog pics to bore you with, and probably the highlight of the week so far was the bird spectacular at Snettisham. I went with a local photographer friend and we were both blown away by the numbers of birds there. Mostly knot and oyster catcher.

the sky was fab too, beautiful light. And there were only about a dozen people watching it where we were. The tide has to be really high to push the birds in so that you can see them as usually they're way out on the mud flats. Twas really amazing and I have about 500 shots of it all!

Lee, have a look at this. My friend has his whole Audi done in Matt Black. Looked awesome, and if you get bored, just peel and change the colour.

Cracking shots there Penel looks like your having fun in Norfolk fro what you've put up on FB.

Lee plus one on the graffiti shot.

Wayne would you still like to borrow my OCF gear as my shoot has been cancelled now so it's all yours if you want it.

Thanks Radders.

Its the one thing about my shots that bug me but I almost always shoot in AV mode so the camera sets the shutter speed.
Maybe next time I should set the shutter speed and let it set the aperture (I take it that's how you shoot prop planes?).

I vary when I shoot aircraft, sometimes Manual, sometimes Av, sometimes Tv, I never used to use Tv until about 2 years ago. If it was a prop/helicopter (in the air) I'd set it to about f/11-f/16 weather depending in Av, if I'm feeling brave now I set it to Tv and play around with speeds (all depends on the aircraft too, if I want a keeper I play it safe), anything from 1/30th to 1/80th (I have more keepers at 1/80th funny enough  ) but if any aircraft is on the ground with props or a helicopter taxing etc i'll shoot in manual as I have more time to think.

Here's some examples..

1/80th
