This were the first photos I took with my "new" MT-24EX and the UK diffusers, so I'm still adapting to the diffuser, the flash and using it in manual. I think I should have dialed extra flash power, I bumped exposure 1 stop in PP...

All photos handheld, and the bottom two are stacks from 2 photos (not much DOF was actually gained but they did stack)

If anyone knows the spider specie please let me know, I've searched the internet but couldn't find a perfect match :(

Nice detail, Paulo. I believe it is a crab spider? Congrats on your new MT24EX.

Nice light. good detailed shots.

Thank you Bas, it got better on PP, they were underexposed by 1 stop, I think I had the LCD brightness too high :(
I might have to start looking at the histogram instead of trusting the image review... How do you guys do?

Thanks Ishrani, it might be, don't know, I associate the crab spider with a different spider "face" (more pointy on the sides?).

Its just new on my hands, I bought it used, but so far its working and I'm loving it :)

Lovely series Paulo.

Bit surprised you are using manual flash, I used to use that for macro back in the 80's, wouldn't want to return.

Well, blame this two guys for talking me into it:

Thank you both:)

So Lester, so far I'm liking the results, they seem a bit more consistent.
But it requires practice... I'm still forgetting to adjust ISO/Flash power after changing the aperture  I didn't had to do that with E-TTL, so I change aperture, keep shooting and then when I look at the screen Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! all under/over exposed
I'll eventually get used to change settings in pair, that or revert to E-TTL :)
