It has to fit compactly into my car afterwards, so it's essential that it can be broken down. I still need a recommended thickness for the pipe to thread. also a total weight would be nice. I can go either 1/4 inch thickness or 1/8th, I would love to know what the standard is.

I can't really comment on thickness or standard for threading sorry. I join my rig with ferrules machined to fit, just slide and lock with a pin.

I recently rig'd a 350z with some crazy wide wheels front and back for a stancenation feature.

I ordered the Gator one and I'm waiting for it to arrive at my local Guitar Center. I since the width and height are plenty wide and tall, the boom poles should be able to use that towards the overall length. It should be here in 3-5 days.

The only thing I didn't like about the other ones are that the are too tall and wide. The booms are 2" diameters so 4"x4". I plan on using a microfiber blanket to wrap the poles up in the bag so they don't bang around.

I'll update when I get the bag.

Gator speaker stand bag is a no go.

car is painted matte. I haven't rigged a wrapped car yet, but will be soon. I'm just gonna stick to windows.
