Nice shots, T3. That lens will be my next purchase. I'm hoping it shows up in Canon's refurb stock before the current sale ends.

Thanks M_Six. And yea that lens is great. Versatile, light, sharp and good blur. It is the one lens I always have with me.
Here's a 100% crop. ISO 200, f/2.8, 1/100

I made a grip modification for my M.

I bought two different models of flipbac grips to test if they could replace the original "grip". Bought the G4 (which is reported to work well) and G3 (which looked cooler )

I took away the original grip and inserted the G3 on top of the holes of the original grip.
So, here are the pics (sorry about the quality of the pics, they are handheld in mixed lighting).

I have no experience yet how it will stand real world usage, but the grip immediately felt more secure than with the original grip.

I have also ordered a thumb grip from ebay, but haven't received it yet. This is the first step in trying to make the use of the camera more comfortable.

That's a great idea! Let everyone know how it goes.

I was so intrigued with the idea of using the old Canon FD lenses on the M that I ordered a 50mm & 100mm plus a FD to M adapter. I should have all of this by mid-week. Can't wait! Will post some pics once I get everything.

I was walking yesterday with the M and my old Samsung NX10 hanging from the neck. M had 22mm and NX10 had 60mm macro. Light setup. Anyway, when using the M with this new grip it felt really like it was meant to be there from the beginning. Not for once did I think anymore that how slippy and unsecure the camera was to hold in my hand. Though the grip is small it give just the right amount of grip at least for my L (9.5) sized hands. Sad that Canon decided to go with the look over functionality with the original grip.

And finally decided to post a photo taken with the M, one bridge I passed by yesterday:

i love the fact that the M is SOOOOOOO bland that it doesnt attract any attention. Most people would not know that an oversized point and shoot is rocking an apsc sensor. I am sure cameras like the fuji xpro line and sony NEx will attract way more attention. No one is ever bothered by me and my M!

Like many, we wish the next M camera will have a faster AF. I hope Canon keeps the blandness, this will make it a great stealth shooter.

Thanks! Thank goodness for the 5x zoom on the LCD lol. Its hard trying to hand-hold and manually focus. The zoom really helps to see where the focus hits.

I think the mantis was smiling at me....he/she was certainly looking at me.
