Canon Refurb Sale -- this weekend -- $50 off $250, $100 off $500

Canon's check-out pages have been screwing up all morning. I had a 600 EX flash in my cart since it came back in stock and when I comes time to complete my order, I get a blank screen. Within a few minutes I lost my place in line for one of these. Argh. Just lost out on a great deal. Oh well

Same here. I got an email from CPW and when I went to the site, it said it was IN STOCK with the ADD TO CART button. Went to add it and it looked like it was loading and nothing was added. Refreshed and OUT OF STOCK with the button grayed out.

Manually refreshing is faster than CPW.

We detect things going in-stock in about 15 seconds; however, now that we have hundreds (if not thousands, for popular items) of people signed up for notifications it takes a few minutes for all the e-mails to go out. We try to get notifications to people within a few minutes (3-4 minutes is the average). We're looking at ways of speeding this up; do note you're competing with several hundred other people for about 20 copies of a refurb at a restock.

I personally don't have the patience to sit there and hit refresh all day -- but manual refreshing is another way to land a refurb if you really want it that badly.

For ex: "The EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II is available refurbished for $391.00, which is below your target of $1900.00.

I just fixed this bug today. I'm really sorry about the incorrect e-mails -- there's was a bit of a glitch which happens when an item goes out of stock.
