We did not require a yellow fever vaccination traveling from the uk.
We did take malaria tablets, some of the group didn't.

Yellow fever isn't need for Botswana or South Africa unless you go into Zambia and then South Africa requires it if you are coming from there.

I just got home last night. Some photos are on my FaceBook page:

The shots from Holland are there as well as the ones from South Africa. The first 28 are from the trip, stops with the moon shot.

It being winter and relatively dry, there were few mosquitoes. I wore insect repellent clothing and was bitten maybe twice, in the evening when I didn't change from shorts to trousers. Something went for the behind the knee flesh.

Important even in dry season to take care during evening time when any mozzies that mat be around will be active. I use a roll on anti mozzie for feet and legs especially. Most of South Africa is malaria free.

There are some real nice birdy shots in there, something that I pretty much missed out on this trip.

Nice, good variety.
Like the cheetah looking down through the bush at you.

Sorry to those interested in Namibia trip 2014 but my health is really not up to it currently. My cataracts getting worse tho hope for surgery sometime over next few months... Is making usual research impossible to do tho did work out a great route. Main problem is diabetes which is making me exhausted, plus with painful feet and legs meaning work and sleep difficult. Not sure how much worse or better it's gonna get with medicine I am on... Doesn't feel like much help, almost feel worse.

So will review in December and if I feel good again can pick it up then, so don't scratch it from your diary just yet!!

Don't worry about it, take the time to get yourself healthy.
I wish you the best!

When the time comes, I'll help out any way I can!
