You might want to try holding down the Alt key while doing that.. it's a lot easier to see when all of the clipping has been eliminated.

I set the white point the same way, and I deliberately clip some shadows when setting the black point. It seems to give the image more contrast and a little 'pop'. Just don't go too crazy with it.

Interesting - but is there any difference between using the alt key - versus enabling/showing the shadow and highlight clipping in the histogram?

Probably not too much... but it does show you what pixels are clipping. e.g. If the sun is in the shot, it's probably going to be blown out... the Alt method will let you know that nothing else in the highlights is blown out, just the sun...

Lightroom has some really nice features and thoughtful touches... this is one I really like.

I made it through my 1/2 marathon, though I am not exactly moving fast this afternoon. LOL Currently importing photos that my hubby and son took...all 200 of them! Gah! I'm pretty sure my son just likes to hear the shutter rapid fire.

Congrats! Were you satisfied with your time?

Kind of a weird request I get from a few people, but rather than taking studio photos for dances, they request outdoor, natural light shots.

Yeah, satisfied that I finished before the course was closed. In March I couldn't get off the couch without assistance because of a bad back. I started seeing a chiropractor and he told me is was "frozen" with scar tissue and I had to work to break it up. So I am really excited to have accomplished this goal. It was faster than my practice run but I am sure it would have been even better if I hadn't just gotten over a cold.

Like this one a lot as well as 8, 11, and the 45-47 are great shots with beautiful & lush but not distracting scenery - lucky to have such environments to shoot

Yes she did came with all her clothings.

Outdoor shots are single off-camera bare flash on a stand(really high).

the all red costumes were with two flashes. the backlight flash was bare on a stand.

the main light 45degrees to the subject camera right was with a flash with Aurora firefly octobox that works like a beauty dish but collapsible.
