Well, I spent about $900 on a 7D. Pretty decent condition. Now just waiting for the 24-70 2.8 L I bought from a member here to come in the mail.

Seriously love the 7D so much more than my T1i already--the shutter button and sound, and feel of the overall camera is just amazing. Blah!

you'll have fun, GREAT autofocus, and so cool!
All the knobs on the left of the screen!

happy shooting!

It feels so much more comfortable and just better in general. The layout makes much more sense (after you get used to it). A lot more practical.

I GET MY 24-70 TOMORROW! So excited, I'm walking to the post office to pick it up myself.

Funny how a topic about a guy getting a 7d can turn into a debate about focal length....lol

Have a 7D and 5DII, and while I use the 5DII mostly for landscapes the 7D is not bad at all for such. I do prefer the 5DII for taking pictures of people faces (candids and such), with a 70-200mm f/4L, or the 200L. Now, for birds and other wildlife I use the 7D with a 200mm L, or the 400L. Too expensive for me to buy a Canon L lens past 400mm.

yes same here, I use 5DII for weddings, portraits and landscapes, especially landscapes in low light or long expousres. 7D is landscapes again mixed in with nature and wildlife, its taken me two years but I actually have come to really like my 7D and its now getting more use than the 5DII, its more versatile

The Swedish magazine FOTO, who measures the time it takes the camera to focus with an electronic instrument, for a long time had the 40D with the EF-S 17-55 mm f/2.8 IS USM as the fastest camera/lens combination they had ever tested.

It trumphed cameras like the 1D Mark IV and Nikon D3s, with their respective standard zooms. I'm not even sure it has been beaten yet. I remember it was a draw with the 7D with the same lens.

Excellent! I have the 40D and 7D - now all I need is the EF-S 17-55!

Currently have Canon EOS 40D, 7D, 7D mkii

Having a 7D replaces the use for a lot of things. I don't need a hammer any more. 7D handles that.

Come try out mine - since I "by accident" happened to get a 1DX into the household  , my EF-S 17-55 mm f/2.8 IS USM isn't the workhorse it used to be any longer. The 1DX more often teams up with the EF 24-105 mm f/4L IS USM.

I promise I'll buy you a beer.
