Northern Lights - Fargo, ND

The northern lights were out last night in Fargo which seldom happens, so hopped out of bed and headed to the country. I'm still working out exposure times and focus but I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out!!!

46.8772deg latitude Fargo, 42 deg me in SE Michigan....I'm still too far south!

Is 42 too south? I saw it last night and Im around 43 degree. Is 1 degree quite critical?

timing and location...guess I missed the main act by a few hours, seemed 12:30pm EDT was the time to be out....I was out 3:45am...

Nice shot. I played with it a little, but am not posting since you don't have Image Editing on. I would bump up the exposure a bit, and tint it a bit towards the green side to really bring them out!
