Once you attach the rig, tighten it down, and never move it. This way, you can lay any shot from the set on top of any other shot, and simply wipe off what you want to hide, or reveal. I use between 3 & 10 different shots for most of my rig-shots. This is one of my more popular photo's, and it used 25+ shots IIRC, and 50+ layers.

Dan Steffen, tar dette på norsk så du kanskje forstår litt enklere Nå har jeg ingen erfaring i elements, men ser at photoshop cc ikke koster allverden per mnd, så burde evt vurdere å kjøpe det?

Kan gjerne bruke to helt forskjellige bilder som legges sammen, om du vil enkleste er ofte å bruke fra samme stilling. Finner masse hjelp på youtube, selv om det er få youtube klibb om rigshots!

No problem, even if you never spend a cent with me, I'm always happy to help.

Every version of Photoshop has the ability to do layer masks .

Nasty weather here tonight. So my very first rig shot I've done was with an alternate car, and indoors (I don't care for indoor motion shots much, so I underexposed the background on purpose) instead of outdoors.

Rig-Pro boom 20' arm (only used 15' though), the rest is stuff I've gathered myself. I also had to improvise due to the fact that there's very little glass or sheetmetal on it, and I could only space the clamps 3' or so apart...And no suction cups could be used. Zip ties were the word of the day

Still...I'm happy with my first shot at this:

Nice to see this thread picking up again. I'm hoping to get an assistant soon so I can get some shoots in before the snow flies up here.

Andrew, I'm amazed with some of your images. I didn't realize you use quite so many layers though. Impressive post work.

Gapiii, i like it alot Perhaps I ould have cloned the shadow of the car as one! Looks like the shadow of a telephone pole have jumped into the picture:P

Some of my larger clients require each adjustment to be made on a separate layer so they can turn them on and off in order to see which way they like the shot best. After doing a few of them like this, it just becomes second nature to do them all that way.
