I bought the 5dc back in Mar used. The original owner never sent it in for the free mirror reinforcement fix by Canon. If you didn't know the mirror adhesive breaks down over time and the mirror could come off. A quick check of the mirror will let you know if it had been done google 5d mirror fix and check out the images, if it hasnt been done a quick call to canon will take care of it. They were awesome over the phone!

Thanks for the headsup! I didnt know, but I will have it addredded soon assuming previous owners havent had it done - perhaps Canon will know by the serial number.

I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not too sure.

Any suggestions, tips, warnings?

Today a friend of mine gave me an Epson Stylus Photo R1900. It is brand new (at least as far as usage). He bought it new about 2 years ago. He printed 2 images on it, thought it was too complicated (he was going to give it to his son, and finally bought the boy another model). The problem is that it has not been used for over 2 years, the original inks are still in place. I am hoping that if I clean the print heads I can at least try it out. I hate to buy 8 cartridges to give it a test.
Does anyone have any experience in doing somethink like this?
Thanks for any help...Joe
