Maybe 50 yards. I have a shot of a grizzly from 70 yards. That was far more exciting then the elk

I wanted to ask when shots 1 and 5 were taken. I was there a few years back and all of my teton shots had a haze (purple?) over the mountains. Your shots are similar except for 1 & 5, and those are spectacular. Was it the time of day or clarity of the sky?
