7/10 -- liking it, but I wonder how it may have been improved if the sun was shot behind (or slightly behind the trees to the left.

You have good subject isolation, but the subject is too central, therefore there is no story behind the shot. i would have loved to see the girl inteact with her videorecorder 6/10

Not knowing rights or wrongs of that kind of photography, I'll just go on how it looks to me. 7/10

The watch face seems a little to dark. And I like gold to gleam more. Like the angle and overall look. Bet a nice velvet beneath would be far better than something with a paper towel look.

***************

North Portland light rail area ... one of my first photos with a 55mm lens I decided to try for something different.

4/10 I'm not sure what you were trying to achieve but I think you need something in focus to provide a point of interest.

This is my first posting so I hope the URL works

Nice focus and depth of field, never seen a hydrant that colour before! Rule of thirds is in there, just a shame there's not a little more sky - but for the subject I'd say 8/10.

Edit - I think the sign out that looks like its coming out of the top of the hydrant could have been avoided if you'd positioned a little further left!

One from last week..

Hmm.. I like it overall, but the green light Trails are distracting to me. I really like the reflection of the flames in the water and the way the flames came out.. 8/10 for me.

Her skin looks a bit too warm (gold reflector perhaps?) on her right cheek/chin area compared to the left side of her face. I could definitely see the catchlights but the darkened glasses really take away from that 6/10

Just playing around with flash

8/10 - I like the shot, esp. how it is half white and then fades into black. However I don't completely understand it and it looks like its melting. Is it a Macro shot?
