Here is my second attempt. At least I got the wheels to blur this time.

Nasty weather here tonight. So my very first rig shot I've done was with an alternate car, and indoors (I don't care for indoor motion shots much, so I underexposed the background on purpose) instead of outdoors.

Rig-Pro boom 20' arm (only used 15' though), the rest is stuff I've gathered myself. I also had to improvise due to the fact that there's very little glass or sheetmetal on it, and I could only space the clamps 3' or so apart...And no suction cups could be used. Zip ties were the word of the day

Still...I'm happy with my first shot at this:

i have also wanted to get some kind of super clamp setup where i can use the clamps to clamp down on a roll bar for shots where you can get cups on..

Like I said...This was my first try, and I only had the right gear to use the cups. I didn't have quite enough clamps, or a way to attach a clamp to a clamp...So the very end was clamped, and the post closest to the camera was wedged into the roll cage and ziptied like crazy. Didn't work very well, but it worked out somewhat decently in the end.

I'll have more gear next time, that's for sure. I've already got another Jeep guy wanting something similar.

I have this same question. Also, are those NSX photos just one shot or are they composites?

Those NSX shots are sexy.

What LED or whatever panel do you use for light painting. I would like to do a light painting while doing a rig shot. I need something good, 'cos I had 3 led lights and they were rubish. I also have flash feeder so eletricity is not a problem. Please suggest something

Thanks guys. My shutter speed was 3.2sec for all three. The rear shots were single exposure and the front shot was a 2 exposure composited image.

Kevin: See how the ground looks like smoke? This is where you really need a shorter shutter speed to add some detail there.

One from me. Was taken on a extremely bumpy gravel road, destroyed by rain! But somehow the rig game me a keepershot!! Thanks Andrew

which part of the road? it was actually a really wide road, unless you're talking about the left side of the photo...?
