Nice clean location in #1, & it seems to be about the right time to shoot, but the highlights in it don't look "right" to me. It's an interesting set of images, though.

I like the last two the best. The contrast to the background works for me.

the highlights in the others seem extremely blown and bring down the images IMO.

The first four really have a studio lighting feel to the reflections. The white balance does not match the scene but they do look cool.

I use a 4 or so foot dual fluorescent tube setup I purchased from Home Depot for about $15, super easy and affordable.

It's nothing new just your regular ole light painting technique. Drag your shutter and walk around the car with a light! Let me know if you have any questions.
