Okay, I am wrapping up my first few days with the 6D after I sold my 5D Mark II and got a refurb from Adorama. I faced a lot of photogs I know heckling me about "going from a pro camera to a pro-sumer camera" but I don't really give into the rubbish that pro cameras are the only ones that are worth it and can take good photos, or that those titles even be tossed around in the first place. Lame. Remember when nobody would photograph a wedding with anything less than the 20D?!? HAHA!!

Anyways, this camera is freakin rad. I took a photo of a friend driving her car being illuminated only by the street lamps and the tail lights of the car in front at ISO 16,000 and the image is clean, 100% usable, and crystal clear. Autofocus is a leap above my old Mark II 5D. It's lighter. The video controls are better. High ISO is leaps beyond. I like the fact my 32GB SanDisk Ultra SD card cost half of what my 16GB SanDisk Ultra CF cost. Plus, I'm never one to say "these images look magic" but there is a certain glow to them that makes them really punchy.

Great job on this one, Canon!!

I always tell people who do that more than likely your mad because I bought pretty much the same camera at the same price and still have enough leftover to spare

Yup, I pocketed some money from the deal as well. Plus, I sold my CF cards as part of the bundle and those bring in a lot as well.

I am thinking about upgrading from my current 60D to the 6D. I mainly do action dog photography. Is this a good upgrade? I just need a really high speed camera. I just get too much blur it seems like a lot of the time even using a tripod.

Main lens for action is: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L Image Stabilizer II USM Lens

BTW, I am loving the pictures posted.

That combo works great. I posted this back on page 355 but I'm sure you missed it.

This was with my 6D and 70-200mm f2.8 IS ver. II of my dog in a full speed run. It nails every shot, every time.

Thanks, SVTmaniac. I am really itching to get a new camera body. Just trying to decide on the best choice.

You're welcome, don't let the myth that the 6D has poor autofocus deter you. Almost everything I photograph moves. Coming from a 7D I don't miss the autofocus on it one bit and since I got the 6D my 7D has become a paperweight. You'll love the 6D and the images it produces will blow you away.
