It isn't the same product when one box is flash+warranty and the other box is flash excluding warranty.

So these lights are a Piece Of S***? They need a warranty? How many have gone bad?

Good question, do these flashes have any issues. Has anything popped up yet?

$370vs $800 (rounded off numbers for shipping)

We have the exact same thing being sold. (if you want to argue this we can but I am pretty sure most will agree)

One comes with a warranty one does not. The warranty costs $430.

So I could buy two at $370 and still be ahead of the one at $800

I like this insurance policy more, I get to use my replacement in the mean time :D

Like I said a loooooong time ago at $800 they are waaaaaaaaaay too much.

You can but the recycle time won't be as good as using the pack (with the 2-to-1 adapter) for the 360 alone.

Customer service is huge factor with me.

Your point is rather moot because you are assuming that they will end up identical and you are assuming purchases from other vendor will actually arrive into your hand. Have you ever seen ad for something at a price that's too good to be true and went there just to be told "we just sold it, we have this other thing but not at that price"? I am sure you have so you should know actual bird in hand can never be compared to a promise of a bird in hand.

Let's talk again once you purchase unit from other vendor, it get's delivered to you at that price without any problems and you are shooting with it for a year without any problems.

Have you been using this product without issue for a year?

You present a typical straw man argument, but again, to each his own.

As I explained in another thread for this price difference *to me* it's worth the risk, especially when I can just call Amex and have them handle any issues that I have.

If anybody is presenting a typical straw man argument here it is a man that hasn't even placed an order yet for some "virtual deal" that he might / might not receive that's talking to a man that has his gear already in hands for number of months now and is using it. Like I already said, let's talk again once you actually have something in hands for a while.

In the meantime please notice Amex might give you your money back but Amex will not send you replacement unit overnight if you need one.

Yes, to each his own. That's a well known phrase. So are "You get what you pay for" and "I am not that rich to buy cheap stuff".

[QUOTE=JESUS PADILLA;16361955]2 CHEETAH CL 360 USED LOVE THEM!!!!

Nice work Jesus. But please make clear what is so special about these flashes. Is it something special that other flashes can't do?
